Lawrence Larouche the self-proclaimed master of the imagination is the chief illusion designer of MAJINX. His career in theatre began at an early age, performing in plays and acting in movies produced by the National Film Board of Canada. As a teenager he wrote songs and sang in coffee houses and night clubs. He attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Through out all of this magic was a constant interest and soon became an obsession and he combined all his talents to create the wonders of what is now known as MA JINX. He loves to welcome the audience to his whimsical world of inexplicable events. He is passionately involved with his art and embraces the mysteries of the world with childlike enthusiasm. Exploring the wonders of this world serves as inspiration to create new concepts for future MAJINX presentations. Stay tuned!
Cynthia Martin is the more socially graceful of the team. She is a more cautious and calculated individual, having here feet firmly planted in the the real world. Cynthia knew at a very early age that the stage was her second home and joined every drama club and musical troupe in her area. Cynthia completed her three-year theatre courses in Montreal where she took everything from script analysis, mime, tap, jazz ballet, ballet, improvisation, to acting. These classes provided the foundation for her eventual involvement in the world of magic and illusion. She enjoys her life with Lawrence, but that does not make it any easier.
Nathan is an actor, dancer, and artist. He has won a national award for his drawing. He has also enjoyed competing in lip sync and dance competitions. He takes part in variety shows and has done voice-over work on films. He has worked for three years with MAJINX and has performed across Quebec and Ontario at the Canadian champions of Magic, Canadian National Exhibition, Ontario Place, and Paramount Canada's Wonderland. He enjoys snowboarding, art, dance and building mechanical gadgets.
Zadia has worked for four summers with MAJINX at the Canadian National Exhibition, Ontario Place, and Paramount Canada's Wonderland. She has also taken part in Doo Doo's dance party. Zadia has appeared on Toronto's CityTV and nationally on CBC's Get Set For Life. She has taken music, skating and gymnastic lessons. Currently she is in a youth choir and hand bell choir and hopes to begin dance classes soon. |
