It was Party Time at the Metcalfe Fairgrounds Saturday evening, June 23, 2012, when the Metcalfe Agricultural Society held an Ol' Fashioned Barn Dance in the new barn with great music provided by DW James and his band.
Just after 11 pm, an auction was held with a single item up for sale by auctioneer Erin James - the naming rights of the new barn for the next four years. The successful bidder was the trio of Donevelyn Farms, Grenville Mutual Insurance, and Hicks Insurance.
