There's one nice thing about being a one-man-band - when you call a rehearsal, everybody shows up. Bandaloni has held a lot of rehearsals; it shows in his performance and in the faces of those watching and listening to his music. He draws from a century deep well of songs - his ever evolving set lists span a multitude of musical genres.
You may hear greats like Elvis, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, the Rolling Stones, Dean Martin, Hank Snow and the Beatles. John Prine, Wilson Pickett, Chuck Berry, Roger Miller and Creedence Clearwater Revival have all found a welcome place in his show. And his show has found a welcome place at Metcalfe Fair!
His audiences also enjoy a variety of traditional folk songs and perennial Canadian favourites like Neil Young, Stompin' Tom Connors and Stan Rogers.
All songs are time tested crowd pleasers, specially arranged by Bandaloni for maximum groove on the harmonica, guitar and drum rig.
2007 was Bandaloni's second year at Metcalfe Fair. Most of his shows are presented on the mall in front of the Agri-View Building, but he also performed for the Seniors on Friday afternoon, at the Official Opening, at the 4-H Steer and Lamb Auction, and he even fit in a show in the Entertainment Centre on Saturday afternoon. |
