| The Robertson Amusements midway arrived on Monday, September 24, and their setup of their theme park was well under way by Tuesday. Elsewhere, an army of volunteers readied the facilities and assembled the exhibits. More exhibits and competition entries began arriving Wednesday and concessionaires set up their booths. By the time the gates opened at 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, the 151st Metcalfe Fair was well under way. |
