| Lawn Tractor Racing returned to Metcalfe Fair's events roster after a three year absence and was a big hit with fairgoers. The event was presented at Metcalfe Fair by the Ontario East Lawn Tractor Racing Association. The Ontario East Lawn Tractor Racing Association (Oeltra) races all across southern Ontario from Ottawa to as far away as Milton, Ontario near Toronto. The club has as many active members, as many as 60 per year at different events in Ontario. Non members are also eligible to participate. Tractors are tech inspected and placed in their appropriate class. The more powerful machines are capable of reaching speeds of 110 kilometers per hour (65 MPH) on straight runs!!
