"Strollin' Around" is Metcalfe Fair's miscellaneous section. At a Country Fair, as you wander about, you often see things that really don't fit into a formal photo album, but they're the little things that no fair would be complete without. Collectively, they make a large album of their own.

We had an unexpected treat at the 2008 fair when the Ottawa Fire Department dropped by on Saturday afternoon and demonstrated their aerial ladder truck, setting up at the high school, across the street from the fairgrounds. Metcalfe Firefighter Steve Mollette took our camera to the top of the ladder to snap these spectacular views. |
