| April 12, 2008 RCMP MUSICAL RIDE RETURNING TO METCALFE IN MAY One of Canada's most recognized icons, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Musical Ride, will be performing at the Metcalfe Fairgrounds on Friday, May 16, 2008. August 12, 2006 METCALFE FAIR SPONSORS DECORATING COMPETITION As part it the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Metcalfe Fair, the Metcalfe Agricultural Society is holding a gate decorating competition, open to all farms, homes and businesses within a 25 km radius of the village of Metcalfe. July 7, 2006 METCALFE FAIR GETS GRANT FOR GATE PROJECT The 150th Metcalfe Fair is now just a matter of weeks away, and to help commemorate this special event, the Agricultural Society has undertaken a major project to build a new main entrance to the Fairgrounds. March 18, 2006 METCALFE FAIRGROUNDS EXPANDS FOR THE FUTURE Metcalfe Agricultural Society took a positive step towards future success last week, when the membership ratified an agreement to purchase a 10-acre parcel of land across the road from the existing fairgrounds. January 28, 2006 METCALFE FAIR INKS DEAL WITH CITY Negotiations which began long before City of Ottawa amalgamation came to a successful conclusion this week, when the Metcalfe Agricultural Society and the City finalized an Agreement for an exchange of land, and for use of the Metcalfe Community Centre. |
